The context

Social sports-tracking app: every athlete tracks their performance, takes on challenges and ranks alongside their club, across the whole of France. Automatic nearby-club detection, real-time rankings and notifications.

Athlos aims beyond the training log: to build a genuinely social, competitive layer around sport. Connect athletes in the same discipline within a shared ranking, let them challenge each other directly and track their progress, at a national scale.

• A national ranking per discipline, where every athlete holds a spot they can move up.
• A one-on-one challenge system: call out a member, win points, climb the ranking.
• Daily performance tracking (sessions, benchmarks, records) feeding a personal dashboard.

The challenge: design an app that is social, competitive and reliable all at once, able to maintain real-time rankings, handle member-versus-member challenges and give clubs a complete back-office to run their community.

Phase 1: the athlete experience

It all starts with the discipline. On sign-up, the athlete picks their sport and Athlos places them in the matching national ranking, while detecting the nearby club to connect them to their local community. From there they can challenge other members, log their sessions and benchmarks (squat, deadlift, bench press…) and watch their level sharpen day after day. Every duel won earns points and moves them up the ranking, while real-time notifications flag incoming challenges, new records and ranking changes.

Phase 2: the owner space and the Premium model

Athlos isn't just a consumer app, it's also a tool for clubs. The owner space gives managers a global view of their activity, with every key metric gathered in one place.

• A multi-role back-office (athlete, coach, owner) to manage members, clubs, ladders and matches.
• Operational metrics: active members, activity rate, churn risk, sessions and activation.
• A built-in Premium model, monthly or annual, with MRR, ARR and conversion tracking.

A complete product, ready to grow

The result brings together three building blocks rarely combined in a single app: the sports social network, performance tracking and club management. The real-time architecture, the challenge system and the subscription model are all in place, ready to welcome new sports, new clubs and new features.
